Orange & Asavie Technologies Partner to provide Mobility Services in Réunion

July 2nd 2008: Dublin-based mobility service provider Asavie Technologies has signed a partnership with Orange. Under the terms of the partnership Orange will incorporate AccessMyLan - a hosted virtual private network (VPN) service for secure remote access, developed by Asavie - for its Secure My Access (‘mon accès sécurisé’) solution.

The SMA solution allows the secure exchange of information between users of remote PCs and mobile devices and their corporate local area networks (LANs) and will be sold within Orange’s Business Everywhere suite with a view to simplifying connectivity over mobile networks (3G, EDGE/GPRS, WiFi).

The solution - which will be sold initially on the island of Réunion, a French territory in the Indian Ocean - meets the growing customer demand for secure remote access. It will be targeted at SMEs and companies looking for an integrated solution from a unique supplier.

Ralph Shaw, CEO, Asavie Technologies, said: “We believe this partnership with Orange Réunion is a massive step forward for our company. It is the initial deployment in the France Telecom Group and shows that we are now capable of servicing our clients’ needs in different locations around the world”.
